God's promise

Day 1 is finally here, and how good it feels to be out on the front lines in the battle for life!!!  While one of our devoted prayer volunteers, Art, started us off in what looked to be another rainy day, soon the sun broke through, and God gave us a beautiful rainbow!  Noah had to wait the entire 40 days for his rainbow, but we got ours at the beginning :)

Our 40 DFL Kickoff went very well, we had about 50 there last night. Eveline and Kevin of Loves Gate Ministries sang for us their beautiful songs, the Knights of Columbus cooked us chilidogs and we enjoyed snacks and cake.  Almost all of the yards signs were purchased, and more will be coming.

Today's scripture:
"Blow the trumpet in Zion! Proclaim a fast, call an assembly. Gather the people, notify the congregation.  Assemble the elders; gather then children and the infants at the breast...Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep and say, 'Spare, O Lord, your people.'" - Joel 2:15-17

Please remember to share any stories you have about your time spent at the vigil site.  You can use the email link at the top of the blog!
