Stories from the vigil site

"First day on the front line. Lots of folks gave a double-take as they drove by trying to figure out who these people were standing on the corner with posters. Others seemed to remember us from last year's vigil and smiled. Lots of smiles, beeps and thumbs up in support of 40 Days vigil. I am moved to pray for the unborn and make it a point to get eye contact with the drivers and to pray for each of them - that all involved in the vigil and all who go by are graced by this effort. God is in the driver's seat. Do I hear an Amen!?!"

"Today was my first time to stand out at the vigil site.  I was slightly apprehensive, but immediately felt calm and at peace upon arrival.  The hour I stood out there was filled with positive reinforcement from people driving by.  There were way more smiles, waves, honks and thumbs-up signs than there were negative reactions.  One sweet man even pulled over and rolled down his window and asked if he could get us some water or something.  Looking forward to my next hour and hoping that our presence there will touch the hearts of many!!"
